Are you going with house windows in there are just plate glass?

We are going to use 1/4" plexiglas. The current enclosure has 3 large panes of it and after over a year +, no scratches. I have 3 teenagers, a ten year old son and a 2 year old grandson. Safety is a must. Plus the new vive, is in the family/bar room and on game day my foolish friends could get a bit out of control.

Good point. Don't need someone or something going through it.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not an electrician but I was always taught to use an electric box with keyless bulb holders. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes I would definitely recommend anyone using a box. You can recess them or buy the slim fit design.
Can't be too cautious with electrical.

    Hey it looks great Scott!

I'm using keyless bulb holders too. What box are you all talking about?

    Aja,
You should put a square electrical box that the keyless socket attaches to. There is no ground on the socket so you should ground it to the box....for safety.

What does the box look like? Do I need one per socket?

I used metal square boxes from hd, I think they have plastic ones. Yes you should have one per socket.

You can also use 'security' light fixtures with circular outdoor style electrical boxes--especially if you plan to use multiple lamps or if you decide to angle the lamp(s).

    3 standard 60w bulbs....no basking lights.
