We were in the "bat and snake" cave in the Maryland section of the zoo, and suddenly my little one goes, "mom, a frog." To which i I replied there aren't frogs on display here, you know that. And she reassures me she found a frog. Now, it's near pitch black, so I take out my phone and light up the hall with its screen, and sure enough, there hops a frog.

We go after it, and finally catch it. Poor thing was all covered in dust and pretty dehydrated feeling. So we walked it out and promptly dropped it in a puddle where it sat for a few minutes then hopped away.

    Truly Awesome.

Start them young, and they grow up with an appreciation for all animals.
