Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year
Ok close enough
Hope everybody has a good one! Merry Christmas!
I wasn't on yesterday, but happy holidays to all anyway.
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
Merry Christmas all. Try to enjoy it despite it being such a busy busy time.
I am so glad it is over! lol I have to travel too much during the holiday season and am not a fan of it at all. lol
My heart rate has been in the upper 80's for most of December but it is back in the mid 60's now. Amazing how all of this stress surrounds one day.
New years is coming, anyone have any resolutions? Has anyone made progress on last years resolutions?
I resolve to not make any silly promises to myself that I know I'll never get around to keeping, lol.
I try not to make any resolutions because all people do is disappoint themselves when they don't come true. lol
I guess trying to do something is the same as making a resolution without actually using the word. So I tried to workout much more in the past year and I definitely achieved that. This year maybe workout less eat better to offset it.
Also this next year I'm trying to give more to less fortunate. Planning to make some woodworking projects to raise some money. I'm going to need some gumption to do it though as I have no ambition lately besides exercising.
I too, try not to call them resolutions but goals.
It's awesome that you've spent so much time in the gym, mike!
What type of woodworking do you do?
My goal was to start competing in cycling races and running as well, accomplished both. This year my goal is to compete in a sprint triathlon and start training for a mini triathlon.
Also have some academic goals for 2016 for myself and Aurora
2016 is also the year Aurora starts pre school, I'm super excited for it!
Triathlon's take much more resolve than I have.
I've been a cabinetmaker for quite a few years now. So there isn't much I haven't made.
I think goals are important for everyone to have. Whether it be fitness or just life in general. A daily goal for everyone should be to put a smile on someone's face that needs it.
Pre-school already? Wow she's growing fast.
Making people smile is important and will almost always make you feel better.
A sprint triathlon is easier than it sounds:
Run 3 miles, swim half a mile and cycle 12 miles. I need to work on swimming
Aurora is going to be 4 in March..I can't believe it myself. The preschool is in our neighborhood so it will be a breeze to pick her up and drop her off.
I have a few life goals but they are too personal to post on here
Separate names with a comma.
