My 15 year old niece brought home a pair of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches from school today... my sister-in-law freaked out, so the roaches pretty much immediately went to live with auntie (it was also my fault because my nieces liked my dubias haha :D). I guess one of her science teachers had an over-population of them. They had a ton of little mites on them... a little googling said they were pretty harmless (symbiotic) and specific to madagascar hissing cockroaches, and if there is an excess to pretty much shake 'n not-bake them in flour and to spray them with water to get them off, it seemed to work pretty well. I have them in a shoebox sterlite with half an egg carton, roach chow, water crystals, and a carrot now. No caresheet here... does anyone have a favorite caresheet? Or have any opinions on those mites? Hopefully they don't find the dubias...

Also, what substrate if any do those of you that have had them use?
