This might be a stupid question, but I do not understand how this is the first "huge lizard" discovered inland. Aren't dinosaurs just big lizards?

Technically no. Dinosaurs were originally thought of as lizards because of their appearance. The name itself means "terrifying lizard"!
    No doubt!!
It is now believed that dinosaurs were different and more closely related to birds. Possibly some of them even being warm blooded.

Wow, that is just so hard to believe. (is what I was going to say) I que'ed up a pic of my monitor, then google searched "velociraptor" to make my point. Now that you mentioned it, they do look a ton like birds. Fascinating for sure. Which dinosaurs were thought to be warm-blooded?

I think naming this species after Jim Morrison is really stupid and flippant. He's hardly deserving of such an honor.

What's with the hate for Jim Morrison? Why do you consider him so undeserving?

Its only six feet long, bigger Reptiles co-exist with Mammals now, and far larger ones such as Megalania and Meiolania did so in the past

I wouldn't call it hate, and i mean no disrespect towards him i just think there are others that are more deserving. Maybe I'd feel differently about it if I knew anything about Jim Morrison.
