To make sure I'm understanding, you're asking for the minimum wavelength absorbed by P. regius in the study? Then stating that visible red as we see it is nearest to infrared? Right? :)

Well the minimum peak absorption noted was 361nm in the purple/uv range. I think the maximum peak absorption noted is more relevant to concerns about the light. The max peak absorption was 551nm, which is in the greens range of the visible light spectrum. However, as I stated previously, there is no evidence suggesting that the rods/cones of P. regius do not absorb reds, just that the rods/cones are most sensitive to blues, greens, and purples, respectively. :)

The reds of the visible light spectrum are transmitted at wavelengths beginning around 600nm to 700nm.
