ID needed...well not really...are you up for it?

    lol, I think the award goes to Devon for sharing with us a picture of a less-than-well-known snake ;) ....though next time he asks for an ID he should post a pic from the side as well so I don't e-pummel him into the ground :p

    These snakes differ from most other vipers in that they have round pupils, large "colubrid-like" scales on the head, and lay eggs. They also lack heat-sensing pits, for they're not pit vipers. In other words, they look like colubrids, but they'll mess you up more ;)

    hmmmm..... It kind of looks like what people around here refer to as a "spreading adder" not too sure of the actual scientific name though. Its been years since I have seen one. I am probably waaaay off but its worth a shot.
