What's the humidity? Does the inside of the mouth have cottage cheesey looking stuff? Is it red or swollen? Do the lips look straight and align properly? Is he making any noise while breathing? A faint rattle or gurgle?

Humidity is 70 percent his mouth has no cheesy looking stuff and is a nice pink colour his mouth closes as it should and there's no noise when he's breathing he's stopped doing it now he was only doing it for roughly 15 minutes he seems ok now. Any idea what it could have been when he was doing it he done it fora couple of seconds then what looked like yawning and then his mouth would close then do it again. Thanks

He doesn't look distressed so I don't think its a threat display. He isn't basking so you can rule out him trying to cool himself. Inspite of no respiratory noises I would be concerned about a respiratory infection. That's only because there isn't any other reason why he would do that, that I can think of.

Yes he had just eaten it was the first time he done it and he hasn't done it since. I think I'll book him into vet on Monday just to have him checked out.

Ok thanks just had a look. The only thing is my dragon is definatley 16 to 18 weeks old which is roughly 4 months old and already has a svl of 3 inches which would make him 6 months old on the page you just linked is it just that he's a fast grower or something along those lines. Thanks

It could be the diet is better, or the housing, or genetics, or the health of the mother while gravid, or he's a male. It varies widely so there is no definitive growth rate. Basic rule is that by 2yrs of age they will be sexually mature but that doesn't say much.

Hi all had a vet visit this morning his tail is fine it's not necrotic. There is no respiratory infection and he is in good health. I have another question I just got home from work now and checked on him and he got white patches above his eyes and a white patch behind his mouth on one side can anyone tell me what this could be? Thanks.

Looks like the beginning of a shed to me :) But it is hard to tell from the photos. I am sure it is shedding though!
