Hi, my green anole lizard had its throat punctured while trying to eat a cricket. I thought it would be best to not try and pull it out since it may create a bigger hole but I'm lost as to what to do. Please help! IMG_1948.JPG IMG_1949.JPG

A vet would be the correct way to go..

Did the cricket kick it's leg through the neck from the inside?

First, yes a vet will be the best and safest bet, as they can at least give you something to put on the wound. Doubt they will do anything other than gently pull the leg out though, unless it is still attached to a large piece of the cricket. Judging by the size of that leg in the picture though, you'd feeding crickets that are much too large. They should be no longer than the space between their eyes, or maybe just a bit longer.

Are you positive it stabbed through the skin from inside?
I've never seen anything quite like that

Is the anole sitting on carpet?

    That is very unusual.
