Help! Green Anole Eye Problem

Discussion in 'Anoles' started by Madison Roberts, Sep 4, 2017.

  1. Hi, I have a Carolina Green Anole. I am in DESPRATE need of some advice and HELP with this situation. His eye is glassy and cloudy, he can not fully close it but he can open it. No redness or swelling. I am also not sure of his age. He frequently buldges his eyes and rubs the irritated eye. What should I do????

  2. I can see his pupil but not much of an eyeball, it looks more deflated. I have been researching and iv seen turtle eye drops and polysporin drops ( the non painkiller kind) I am not sure which would be better. PLEASE HELP.

Since we don't know what caused this a vet will be your best bet

If the eye is physically damaged, the rinse won't help

  7. Is there anything to do for a physically damaged eye?
Thank you so much for your help by the way.

If the eye is damaged you need to see a Herp vet. The eye will deteriorate and could become infected.
