    Awesome morph! My Cali King is much more high strung than my Corn is. He's gotten better with musking but if I don't handle him perfectly gentle he starts to tail shake and his vent opens - he's more of a looker than one to be handled often.

    i have experience with all the major subspecies of the common king.

    and have found the eastern/goini and floridana to be the easiest to keep very rarely to musk and less likely to go on hunger strikes.

    LOL! Just goes to show you! My Eastern Chain was the worst snake about musking of any that I have ever had. Little bugger never did stop!

    was your eastern wc or cb? all the easterns i ever had were cb.
    i have heard accounts of wc easterns being very problematic.

    Captive bred. And I had him from the time he was a hatchling. Years later he still musked everytime you took him out.
    Never bit, just stunk!

    Yep learned pretty quickly when taking him out to take a hand and give a quick run down the body over the enclosure!
