I have a question my house gets COLD! 50 degrees in the winter and I was wondering if yall thought a melamine rack system with flexwatt would be able to get to the proper temp for ball pythons. please help before I spend 1,000$ this july on snakes

To be honest I doubt that just flexwatt is going to be enough to raise the heat in a 50 degree environment.
I experimented with it in a big enclosed boa cage and it only raised the temperatures by a few degrees.
    I was not impressed.

I agree. It will not raise the temps enough.
I suggest a space heater first off to raise the room temperature and then flexwatt to do the rest.
