    Mind you I have never done this personally. But I would think that the heater should be on the bottom of the plate of glass and then the glass should be against the bottom of the tank. I would be concerned that sandwiching the heater between the bottom of the tank and the plate of glass would enable too much heat to build up and crack the bottom of the tank.

    Good idea!

    As a side note - the tank is actually propped up on CD cases at the moment so there is about an inch of room for airflow underneath. Since I've got the little guy home today I won't move him around for a bit or disturb him too much. Even with the UHU not adhered to the bottom, I did some spot testing in the corners of the UHU and in the centre and it's even heat, and at the right temp. For now, it's ok.
