    Hey guys I got some post shed pics and what not. His colors are so much more vibrant now!

    Do boas usualy take a long time to eat? He took forever to even start eating the rat, although he constriced it in seconds he didn't start eating for like 5 minutes.

    Not unusual.
    My Maggie has been known to hit the rat and then sit there and think about it for a bit before swallowing.
    I think they do it just to annoy us!;)

    that snake is gorgeaous! my boa takes a while to start eating also

    Good, just making sure nothing was wrong with him.

    By the size of the lump is that size prey okay for him?

    Nice snake! You have got to remember that the rat can hurt the snake. It is just making sure its dead,... its normal
