I am battling here, although the spell check says the word must be like that it feels wrong. Words that I am not sure of:

    Of or Off
    In case or encase.
    Where and were.
Read and the past tense of read? etc.

Please if you notice I am making the same word mistakes, please pm me or something so that I can learn the correct way.:p

    Thanks.

    Re: Posting Language

Wildheart; You are doing exceptionally well! The English language is one of the most difficult to understand. You posted some prime examples!

ie: seal & seal. (it all depends on the rest of the sentence to find out what the real meaning is!)

    examples:
I saw a seal basking on the beach today. or,

When you seal the envelope, make sure you also put a stamp on it. or,

The Great Seal of the USA has an American Bald Eagle in it.

The English language has many of these idiosyncrasies to deal with!;)

You are doing fine! And for your examples
Of- I bought a box of mealworms.
Off- Would you get off of my foot!

In Case- In case I don't see you later, have a good day.
encase-The package came encased in plastic.

Where- Where is your house located?
Were- I thought that you were going to call.
Read is a tough one. Both tenses are the same.

    Sorry,

I would have posted the meaning right away, but the computer just decided to shut down by itself!

Idiosyncrasy: personal peculiarities, pertaining to one's own strangeness. (I hope this is OK?);)

Wildheart, I don't think you should change a thing! I "hear" your voice when I read your posts and I love your accent! Bill sounds like a loving father on the verge of laughing at a child who has just done something wrong:eek: And Merlin is amused by something intellectual that the rest of us haven't caught onto yet!
The language in this post is difficult and convoluted - sorry!!

There, their and they're are difficult ones for people to understand.
There is a red house. (Placement)
    Their house is huge. (Possession)
They're going to paint the house blue. (Shortened form of "They are")

If you have any questions about anything at all just ask. We really appreciate your concern with getting it right!

Merlin; I think we were just 'slammed', (nicely of course.) Do we bring out the big guns now, or just let them 'stew' for a little while?

(PS. PM me on your decision and/or tactics!;))

It's not the ban button that I fear, it's that magic wand he keeps hidden in his robes. ;)

Hmm, I'm not sure if that would be such a terrible fate? I wouldn't mind a well trained human in my life!;).
