This Disappears When Logged In

    umm mld! okay so yesterday i checked my colony and there was a female dubia with a long stick thingy coming out of her butttt what does this mean?

    That is the egg sac! :) it's a good thing, more babies to come.

    woah. i probably have upwards close to 250 babies. that is just insane.

    thats what i seen! i poked at it. hopefully i didnt kill her. everything seems okay today lots of tikes running around

    Lol, you won't kill her, but she may drop the egg sac! No more poking :)

    haha never again. but i see a baby climbing the side. i have to get tape in there. scared me. there might be a couple in my basement. but in northeren ontario they will die. haha

    And Jessica soon you'll be swarming in dubias :) Your set up looks fine, I would place your crates on their sides though, then the poop will drop to the bottom of the tub. Also you can try a humid container, like the one I made, just fill with water and make very small holes in the top.

    my crates are on there side but there is a flat one on the bottom to make clean up better.

    you never clean up! the babies eat the pooop

    i have had mine for 4 months or something. and its still clean

    I clean mine, just sounds gross that the babies would eat poop, just me!

    lol should i try a smaller container then the 30 ? like a 10 ?

    I give mine away, if your ever in my area come by and pick a few hundred. Way too many on my hands, and its not like you can just throw them out if you have too many!

    haha i wish i lived near u cause id come scoop them up and i know a place who sells bulk females 24.99 for 50 females
