Anyone ever try cultivating Crane Flies?

This is the giant western crane fly and it gets huge, 2 inches long and flappy :p I have been tempted to catch them and toss them in my S. occedentalis tanks (they are local wild caught) as a treat but worry about chemicals that may be on them. I don't use pesticides but have no clue about my fellow neighbors.

When I was very young I thought those were giant mosquitoes and they petrified me :p

We get them on the house at certain times of the year. I can't really recall when, but the front door pretty much gets covered in them.
Thanks for the freaky close-ups. They looked much less harmful before I saw those pics.
My neighbor uses some strong lawn chemicals so I have never used wild-caught insects.
