Well well well, it's time for a cleaning weekend! Paco, Pumba, and the dragon's cages needed some cleaning to do.

In Paco's I had to clean the glass, mix up the eco earth, and finally plant the pothos plant directly in the eco earth.

In Pumba's, I had to wipe down the glass, and mix up the eco earth. I also re-did his enclosure because I wanted to add a bigger water dish for him.

Cola got some sun today! It's nice and warm here in Texas!

I also did move Pumba's tank, so now it's near the baby crested gecko. Because the stand he was on, was getting really wobbly and I didn't trust it anymore.

Thank you! Only two things I want to do, background on the red eye croc's tank and the baby crested gecko's tank. And maybe make 2 4x2x2 tanks that stack for my dragons.

Are you thinking about one of those foam backgrounds that you stick substrate and plants onto or one of those paper backgrounds?

thanks man! I try to get pictures weekly! Since I'm not here much during the week, I try to make up for it! :)

And really? you think styrofoam would be easier? I think that'd be a pain!

you can order them and it's easier that way. IMO

The Styrofoam would generally look a lot better than the paper. But it takes a few days to get it ready and safe to put the animal in the tank. With the styrofoam you could also attach fake plants for the herp to climb on and make shelves out of it too.

really? Where? Could you provide me with a link?

Very true, but I have no where to put the lizards in the mean time when I am doing the styrofoam background.

You could just set up a 20 gallon tank and fill it with some dirt and place some plants inside it with heat lamps for a few days.

I wish that could be that simple, but I dont have another 20 gallon. I do have a 10 gallon, but I refuse to put a lizard in such a small enclosure.

Well if you can spend some extra money on a 20 gallon tank they aren't too expensive. You can buy one at Petco for like $25.

We'll see. OR I can just get a paper wall paper and boom, i'm done:) haha, Though, the red eye croc doesn't really need a styrofoam background because they like to hide in the clutter and substrate.

That does seem just a bit simpler. Just a bit. But consider doing the foam background in the future.
