Just a couple of questions about cleaning some used tank objects that I've had sitting around awhile. I have a cermaic water dish, a plastic food dish, some rocks, and a half log hide hut.

Now I know I can rinse the plastic food dish and the cermaic water dish in a dilute bleach solution, but the rocks and half log hut are porous and I wouldn't want any bleach residue in them. Any ideas or suggestions on how to clean them?

here is an article on Sanitizing wood and for the rock you could always boil it.

Not sure you would want to even if you had one but couldn't one just use the dishwasher? Even if you didn't use soap, aren't they supposed to hit temps that kill bacteria?

I think some have a sanitize cycle on them, not sure how hot they get but the manual should say.

If it just a few things i would just bake or boil or bleach depending on what it is.
