Just wondering what the best substrate would be to use for my soon-to-come CWD. I was planning on using just soil, after doing white a bit of research and hearing that it's a good substrate. I was going to build my enclosure from wood, then place tile on top of the wood, then add the substrate.
Well, anyways, whatd be the best substrate to use?

I'd use reptile carpet for a baby. It will keep him from getting substrate in his eyes or accidentally ingesting it. If you have humidity problems, add some frog moss.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong or what, but I put living frog moss in my set ups (using top soil as a substrate) and it died REALLY quickly. Everything I've seen has spaghnum peat moss as a suggestion, but, I tried the frog moss because it was living. Didn't live very long anyways ...

I used the Zoo Med that comes in a box. I didn't even realize it was alive. I wet it everyday and rinsed it out every couple weeks. I've got it in some ziploc bags right now, so if it wasn't dead, it probably is now!
