Chameleon Strange Wounds?

    Hello!

I have recently purchased a Veiled Chameleon, and when I purchased it it had some white flaky bits on the back, head, and foot. Since the animal was shedding when I purchased it I simply assumed that it was shedding, but now the shed is complete and the bizarre white patches remain.

In additon, on the left side near the back, there is a wound that is seemingly affected by this. I have looked online and found nothing, what could this be?

The only other thing I found note worthy about it is that it still changes color, but in a weird way. When the chameleon is awake it is the whitish yellow, and when asleep it turns a dark brown.

Hi, the photos aren`t very clear, but to be on the safe side you need to take the animal to a vet.

Take your baby to an exotic vet specialist...something doesn't seem right. I owned a veiled cham for two years and I've never seen anything like that. Seems like a possible skin-scale disorder? I wouldn't chance it. The visit won't be expensive for a check up if that is of any concern...
Just be safe and make a good desicion for his or her well being!
