hey, just wondering if anyone has ever attempted to mate bull snake and pine snake, and if it's actually possible, since they're the same genus?

I'm not sure if it has been done. I am very sure that it would be possible but again why would you want to breed hybrid snakes. Their has been alot of hybreeding of Pantheropius spp. and the results are not much diffrent then the natural spp. from the genus and leave only the chance of some people infecting pure lines of animals by selling hybrids as natural spp. and not for what they are.

I had an albino southern pine x mid baja gopher snake and she was one of a kind and as awesome as any pure bred. You could breed a milk snake to a pine snake if you chould get them to hook up properly. Pituophis, lampropeltis, pantherophis, etc are all very closely related and can produce viable offspring.
