hi all just a question about some branches. I recently bought a viv off of ebay for a soon to be purchased water dragon it came with various pieces of greenery and some large branches, i do not know what type of trees they came from as they have had the bark stripped and been sanded to remove edges, will they be ok to reuse?.

Hi, though of course you could give them a thorough clean, I personally would find some more, plus sanding branches smooth makes it harder for the animal to grip (whenever possible I leave the bark on).
    How big is the enclosure?

Since you do not know anything about what was kept in there or the conditions it was in, I would toss everything and go with new branches. Nothing like getting a good starter culture of mites along with your new enclosure!

With a thurough cleaning and checking for mites I dont see any reason not to use them.

There really isn't anyway to visually check for mites. All it takes is an egg or two and here they come.
