    Hello guys,

What's the best way for killing mice and rats?!
I anesthetized rats by Diethyl ether. I put them into plastics in fridge. After they froze I took them out of fridge and opened plastics but they still smelled diethyl ether !

Does have ether any effects on snakes and lizards?

(I think before I feed my animals if I take frozen rats out of plastics for about an hour it would be OK!!)

    Thanks.

CO2 seems like the best way to gas rodents. You can buy it the form of dry ice(don't let them touch it, it'll burn them), in canisters like what they use for paintball guns and you can make it by mixing vinegar and baking soda.

CO2 is also 100% safe for reptiles to eat them.

I would never suggest that anyone use ether as a way to kill feeders. For one thing its incredibly flammable to the point of explosiveness. And the possibility of it leaving a residue in your feeders just isn't worth the risk.
And death by freezing is very painful way to die!
The people who use gas to put down their rodents use CO2. It is relatively safe and harmless. Being heavier than oxygen it settles into the container and displaces the oxygen. The rodents just go to sleep and don't wake up.
