I'm new to this forum, and figured this would be a good place for this topic. If it should be somewhere, could a mod please move it. Thanks

This is my first time building an enclosure for any of my animals. I've gone through a couple different designs before settling on one.

    This was my first thought.

The long rectangle on top represents the uvb bulbs, and the circles represent the basking bulbs.

    This was my second idea.

I settled on building them separate, and if I wanna stack them, or have them side by side, I have both options.

The dimensions are 2'x4'x20" for each enclosure.

You`ve done a great job, but a small point; the vent/s would be better placed near the bottom of the tank. in fact one at each end. Also, are you planning to use the fluorescent tubes for lighting/UVB, and what type of heat lamp do you intend using? Thanks!

I plan on using a Zoo-Med ReptiSun 10.0...And there is a large vent in the back, 20"x4", and one on one of the side, 10"x4". You don't think that's enough?

No, you misunderstand, the size of the vents is more than sufficient, but they should be 3 or 4 inches up from the bottom for best results!

Heat escapes up! Lower vents means you keep the heat in better! :)

Is it too late to change it now, if you fill in/cover the present cutouts, and cut new ones lower down. I know it won`t look perfect, but the main thing is to get the conditions inside suitable.

It's a lil late, but I've only built the one so far. I'm gonna see how my gradients are, if they're not where they should be I'll either modify or rebuild.

It's all flipped upside down, so it'll all make more sense when right side up.
