I was wondering if african violets are toxic to iguanas. I was thinking about getting one. Not for in the cage, but by some odd chance that kermit excaped and hunted my flower I don't want it to kill her.

If so, then I will look for something better I guess!

According to the Iguana Den list of non toxic plants african violets themselves are non toxic,...unless they are treated with systemic pesticides and fungicides.

I have African violets in my house and forest really does not care about them. He tasted once and then bumped it over, broke off one of the leafs in the process. They are pretty and very hardy, I definitely recommend them.;)
