Remember your snake hook, or dont mess with venomous.
I happen to be one of those people who will try and catch a snake regaurdless, well, Today I have learned my lesson.
I took a dry bite to my right thumb from a Pygmy Rattlesnake trying to catch it barehanded. I got it, but while re-adjusting my grip on him, since i didnt have a way to pin him to pick him up properly, he dislocated his jaw and moved his head just enough to get a fang and a tooth into my thumb. Needless to say, my heart skipped a beat.

Don't make my mistake and scare yourself, Either use proper gear, or don't mess with snakes that will put you in the hospital.

You lucked out! A pygmy bite to her hand put a friend of mine in the hospital!
And if you don't know what you are doing,... just leave them alone.

    Or this^

I deal with wild venomous whenever i can, but I usually have a snake hook handy.
My friend, Dr Ray Hunter, said he has had 44 bites, none dry. I got VERY lucky.
