She's a beauty! Joe really wants to add a Tegu to our collection.. one day, when we have more room.. Thanks for sharing - is that an outdoor enclosure you have for her? Looks great! And by the first photo, she clearly doesn't seem to mind you giving her the camera attention

If I ever have the room, I would love an Argentine B&W.

Great looking lizard you have there. Thanks for the pictures.

"A question..Is their bite as hard as a skink?"

LMAO...so far I have not gotten that experience, Thank god!!! She hasn't even tried to bit (yet) She would tail whip the first 2 weeks I had her now she is calm and seems to like being held.

The enclosure is just a baby fence I had for my son when he was little to keep him out of trouble. She has to be watched in it as it wouldn't take much for her to get under it.

Skink bites hurt....but i'd be more afraid of a Tegu bite! They just look more threatening...but still sooo cute at the same time!

Well what kind of skink are we talking about for the bite? I do have experience with tegu bites and they aren't fun. To start off, tegu's teeth are very different in different areas of the mouth. Up near the area where we have our so called "vampire" teeth those are very pointy in tegus. There are a few more scattered around the top and lower jaw. Near the back the teeth are kind of rounded. They can put a lot of pressure behind the bite, unsure of the exact amount though. I've never heard of any latching on nor having it happen personally. Now anybody have info on a skink bite?
