They don't have any sharp teeth (they are all rounded knobby teeth) but they can exert a tremendous amount of pressure with their jaws. In the wild they love to eat snails, shell and all, for the calcium. In captivity they like to sample fingers that look like worms but taste like fried chicken!
Tequila's teeth....

Surprisingly, I have some skinks with bad attitudes and they have never bit me.

I've been bit by two Crested Geckos and a marble gecko, though.

Well Great Plains skinks that live in my area have lots of small teeth like that are assembled in rows like a sawblade. They get to be around one foot (I'v only caught one that big), and they bite hard. The huge one I caught when my dad was pulling up a big tree stump that was his former home bit me and left about a one inch long bleeding gash along my thumb.......then he refused to let go untill I covered his nostrills and he had to breath through his mouth. Then he runs away and jams himself in the brakes of a nearby pickup. I had to persuade the man inside to wait while I managed to free him (and he bit me again), and I released hime farther away that time. Sorry for the tremendously long story

well I dont know about you guys but that looks like a columbian to me. it doesnt have the yellow accents that a argy has. and I know what a columbian feels like. if youve heard the expression "dog tame" it can be true but they have teeth like a dog and can bite like a dog. hurts a whole lot. but not as bad as a iggy because its not like there biting with raser blades. never been bit by a skink though so ican compare
