If you have an autofocus camera with the red laser locator light it may be what is bothering him. I know it makes my iguana very upset while my 35mm SLR doesn't phase her in the least.

Ha, no wonder my always tame monitor last time got so angry and tail whip at the camera so hard, nearly knock it out of my hand.

You might be able to go into settings and shut it off, I have to shut it off if I want to get a good picture of my iguana or my boyfriend because they are both camera shy so I have to sneak up on them
