Re: Zena vs. Freya

This isn't about a lizard, I know, but since you're talking about animals that like to be out, I wanted to tell about mine...Hope that's ok.

I used to have a Children's Python named Ky-Lin (she's in my avatar) that would beg all day to come out. If she saw me (or anyone) approach the cage, she'd get so excited, and then she'd come slithering out really fast over the top of the cage into my hand the minute I took the lid off. She just loved being out as much as you would let her. Then when I would try to put her back in her cage, she'd coil really tightly around my hand or climb up my arm...just do anything she could to avoid being put back. I miss her a lot.

It's so cool when you know an animal wants to be with you. Although, all animals are cool, even if they want to be left alone.

That's so cool. I love it when they like to be with you, I am pretty hands on with my snakes, and most of my lizards. Zena will try to claw her way out of her cage just to be with me. Freya is just a very spoiled baby who drinks from a bottle and likes to be hand fed. She pouts really well too.

Re: Zena vs. Freya

Speaking of hand feeding, Philip will only catch crickets if he is sitting on the palm of your hand. So I have to sit there with the top of my hand to the bottom of the bucket while he jumps off it, grabs a cricket then scurries back to my hand. I think its because its warm and the bucket is cold.

Re: Zena vs. Freya

My bearded dragon, spike was in a huge 90 gallon tank. (4X2X2) and although he had all this room to move around and do whatever he wanted, he always wanted to come out and play. I would take him out and let him run around and give him warm baths. and he was so funny. He would always take a flying leap off my desk onto my shirt. He never wanted to go back in his tank. Whenever I'd try to put him back in he'd climb up my arm. He was so cute. I miss him.
