I currently use forest bark for substrate, i see that coconut bark, who uses that and how do you like it? Where do u buy online? looking for the cheapest place.

Some people highly recommend the substrates made with coconut fiber but I know that several people on my water dragon mailing list who've used it have had their dragons end up with eye infections due to corneal abrassions ... I haven't heard of as many problems with other herps, but if you use it use it with caution.

It's like $7 a brick around here. I'd adivse going to a show and buying it. Mostly in 3packs.

I like it, I've had trouble with using it on frogs though. But I use it on all my herps now, except my Cham and Leopard Geckos.

i get it I think for and $5 for three bricks at teh petstore, i use it for my tree lizards,and my box turtle and for my toads I mix it in with topsoil and bark. the only problem I have with it is that small bugs like to live in it, gnats and springtails I think they are(i think these bugs got in during the summer when I had the window open all the time.) they dont bother the aniamls but the bother me : (
