Substrate success
Here's a pic of my smallest Ackie burrowing in the substrate (YAY) Finally it's working the way I need it to. First I got a suitable sand/gravel/clay mix and then with the bentonite spraying and water spraying the surface it hardened up.

Can you post some more detailed pix and steps how you made it, if you have time?

Re: Substrate success
Glad to see it's working for you. Great pic. I find sand/clay mixes perfect for dry loving burrowing reptiles.

Re: Substrate success
Now that I know how to accomplish it. I plan to do it in my large enclosure. Of course I'll need 15 times the amount of substrate. I'll give more details when I set that up. I still need to run the underground lines for moisture. They need to be fastened down somehow. They keep getting pushed up to the top by the soil.
