Re: Snake for the Fall

its a pain in the butt, but i've gotten used to it after all the times he decided to do it. i know as soon as the weather starts to warm up again around Feb-March than he'll probably be interested at some point. so I start offering once every 2-3 weeks until he eats. i find that after he starts eating again he will eat every 2 weeks so I just go by that instead of every week.

my corns on the other hand are like garbage disposals they'll eat practically all the time so its quite a difference having my rosy not eat.

AGREED!
i have 2 jungle carpets, great snakes!!!
you can get some nice ones if you look around.

i just "rescued" a brazilian rainbow boa that is about 6' - 13 years old - and an absolute doll!
so they are also a good thought if you up your size a little... i hear babies are kinda nippy, but I wouldnt know... so yeah.

or you could just go with a ball python or a few ;] for $250 you could prolly get a nice pastel male... there is one on kingsnake right now for $165 + shipping... so yeah.

i highly recomend any of these three species

Re: Snake for the Fall

i'll most likely just stick with a ball python because of their docile nature and very good temperment. i really like the piebalds, they are soooo beautiful!

Re: Snake for the Fall

Honestly, I think my faviorite Ball Morph is hands down the black eyed Leucistic.
There stunning.
There are so many great Ball python morphs out there though.

Re: Snake for the Fall

be ready for a possible picky eater too. balls can be like that. they will also go off of food like a rosy boa will.

good luck with any choice. be sure whenever the time comes for you to get the snake you'll post some pics of him/her.

Re: Snake for the Fall

Piebalds are pretty expensive, but if you think their bad, last I saw, a Leucistic Ball Python was going for somewhere near $15,000.
almost makes me want to buy two fireballs and try my hand at breeding.
