My baby corn regurgitated his mouse...

I don't know why. I fed the two yesterday afternoon and today when I got home from school I went to check on them and the smaller of the two (Mister) had regergitated his food.

Can anyone tell me why this happened? Did I do something wrong?

I thought maybe the pinkie was a little too big. It was a little larger than the others but he ate it just fine....

How long have you had them, what is the enclosure like, size, temps, etc.
Did you disturb the snake after he ate?

Does he have water in the enclosure? Is he in a high traffic area? How long ago did you last feed him?

You fed them yesterday and today? If so, overfeeding could be the issue...

Re: My baby corn regurgitated his mouse...

along with everyone else's questions how long have you had him and are the two snakes housed together? the one snake may be stressing the other one out somehow and caused it to regurgitate.

Re: My baby corn regurgitated his mouse...

tahnks for all of your responses.

i have to two snakes in a 10 gallon for now till they get bigger.
i have had both of them for just about 4 weeks now.
the temp is 85 day and about 70-73 night.
yes, there is water in the cage.
i feed them and then put them back in the cage and leave them alone for a few days.
it had been a week since the last feeding.
i did not feed him two days in a row.
i feed every 7 to 10 days.
they are in my room. i'm gone most of the day and noone else goes in there.

Re: My baby corn regurgitated his mouse...

you should be providing a basking spot of 87-90 degrees and keep the other side cooler, yes, a bit challenging in a smaller tank.

I would separate the two snakes. It could be you have them stressing each other out. Snakes are not social creatures and as they get older they may even hate each other and one could cause the other one injury.
