My mother lizard attacked her baby lizard for some unknown reason, likely she just lost that motherly feeling. The baby survived the attack with what looked like some bleeding (couldn't find the wounds) and some minor nerve damage.

Here we are two weeks later and I found a parapeligic baby (no use of anything below pelvis) with not much fight left, swollen as if it has just eaten more than its share and exhausted out of its mind. It hasn't basked in a few days nor has it pooped and its condition is getting worse...It's only a matter of time now. It can barely move.

This is exactly why I don't breed this species any more...the babies all die if you remove them too fast from the mother but the mother attacks them if it's not done just right. I should just breed Bearded Dragons and then all my babies would live.

It died just after posting that. I put something in the lost pet section with the full story. The condition rapidly deteriorated after I posted it.
