I need some info about skinks, I breed them and am collecting some tentative data just to confirm or refute suspicions. Some questions:

1. Do you breed skinks?
2. Are they Viviparous (bear live young) or Oviparous (egg bearing)?
3. Does the mother provide care for more than a few days to a week?*
4. What species is it?


*By care I mean she doesn't eat it, get hostile towards it or anything like that. Mine, for example, bask with their babies and try to defend them when a cat comes near, even though the silly cat can't get through the cage.

3. Does the mother provide care for more than a few days to a week?* That is questionable, seeing how I will be removing the babies after their birth to be safe I probably wont find out.

My females actually get really angry and actively search for up to 24 hours for the babies, I've never seen behaviour like it before in them...when I remove the babies too early, that is.
