Wow what a fast response! we got him from a guy who is moving and could not take it , he knew little about it .... said it was from Africa and called a black throat skink , well as many of you know names are just pulled out of thin air .. we could not find such a critter however I belive it to be some type of Mabuya? not not sure I will look up Gold and see what it has

Hi, I replied to your first post before reading this one. In that post, I recommended the book "Lizard Care From A to Z" and listed a few skinks of possibility. Thank you for the pic!. The face looks to be like an Occilated skink but the whole body isn't spotted like one. Gilbert's skink would be my bet. Don't hold me to that though!

good eye! that is a scar , I have spent hours looking at pictures and printed so many pics my paper supply is running low, so many skinks I had no idea .
