    Question Blue Tongue IDs

Okay, so I'm starting to doubt what type of skink I have. I was told she was a Northern, but now for some reason I'm thinking Irian Jaya. Then I had a person tell me Northern & Irian Jaya were the same species. And I'm just totally confused now. So, what type of skink is Sally?

And I've also just gotten a baby blue tongue and I haven't a clue what s/he is. The person I got this baby from said it was a Northern AKA Irian Jaya...and yeah...I don't know if the two species are the same.

    Re: Blue Tongue IDs

Hi, in the first pics it looks like a Northern blue-tongue to me, (Tiliqua scincoides sp.), in the bottom pic, I would say that`s a Pink-tongue skink (Cyclodomorphus gerardii). This species requires diffent conditions to the other species, I can give you some info on the captive care if you wish...

Hmm, I've googled some pictures of the Pink-Tongued Skink and my baby doesn't look like any of those.

Have you seen the tongue colour, because the pattern looks VERY like that of a pink-tongue, (asking the obvious question)!

Update: The young have blue tongues, so the tongue colour in the baby won`t tell us anything, it still looks like a pink tongue, though, the narrow stripes on the back and tail match the photo`s I have, and I`m pretty familiar with most of the other blue tongues, (then again, there can be differences in pattern), can you take a photo of the body AND the tail?
