so I have fallen in love with them! i'm hoping to get one really soon, the only problem is they are very hard crome by. does anyone know of any respectable breeders maybe? i know they are uncommon but any help will do. so far its looking like im just going to have to wait untill I see something come up in the classifields. i would really like to stay away from that though.

They are really easy to fall in love with ! lol I got mine like 3 weeks ago. He goes to the vet for his first check up tomarrow.
I got mine from Craigslist...he or she is 5 months old.
Just do a lot of research before getting one and make sure you set up everything it needs BEFORE you being one home. I dont want to sound preachy here but I think thats always best with any animal. To make sure you have the right temps ect...

Blue Tongue Skink.net is great! such an incredibaly detailed care sheet. thats what made me fall in love haha.

there aren't any reptile expos around my area at all. it's really sad because I want to go to one but cali just isn't a huge reptile place.

i absolutly agree with having a home set up and perfect before the animal gets to it. looks like im just going to have to keep my eyes peeled!

If I rember right theres a big show in Anehiem once a year. Though it's normaly in the middle of summer.

No shows in CA? Are you serious? What part are you in? I'm sure someone can point you towards atleast one.

I know that Zach (the head honcho on Blue Tongue Skink.net) breeds, his animals are cream of the crop, jump on that bandwagon. Also Andrew Seike has a nice collection that he breeds.

well I e-mailed zach from Blue Tongue Skink.net and i'm going to get on the list for the 2008 babies! i just need to send my money in and i'm pretty much good to go! now I need to start drawing up plans for my viv. it's sooo exciting!
