Very nice. Don't ask me about sexing them--no idea. I don't recommend reptiles on the kitchen table though.

Blue Tongue Skink are notoriously hard to sex. As they get mature males will get a wider head but that doesn't help you right now.
It looks very similar to an irian jaya that I used to have but the big tan markings on the sides are different.
And like Mike I would be careful about the lizard being on the table as well.
Do you know about salmonella?

yes I know about salmonella thanks for your concern I always practice good handwashing after handling any animal and I always disenfect the area after. I use clorox anywhere hard surface spray and that kills 2 types of salmonella.
10 years as a CNA and you are diligent about that sort of thing .
Now I need name ideas please
I wont put the skink on the table anymore lol I just couldnt get good lighting anywhere else for the pics

He/she is beautiful! Hmmm...names...well you're right about the one picture looking like the old skink stink-eye...so maybe you could call him/her Stink-Eye....
edit: or a more dignified spelling might be something like Stinkai ..or maybe you could go for an Asian flair with Stin-Kai...
