Crocies and blue tongue
The crocs are overdue. The female still has the egg inside the ovary, it's just a matter of waiting. It's not the end of the world.
Here's a neat observation: My blue tongue has eaten very little or nothing for about 8-10 days now. He's lost a bit of weight, his tail is still fat. However, he is WAY more active, climbing out of his cage one day by moving his house to his light and climbing out! (no burns though, somehow...). Why is it that every time I get my blue tongue on a normal routine, he changes things to do whatever the heck he wants (which is never what makes things easy)? WHY CAN'T HE COOPERATE!?

He probably is longing for the attention of a lady skink, jack went off feed for about 3 months until he got out an had his way with Tequila, the next day he ate like a champ. I think it's a sign that blueberry needs a girlfriend.

How long will the fasting persist assuming I don't get him a girl? It's going on 3weeks soon.

Fasting completely? Or just picking? Is he still active? He may be trying to brumate, Tequila is attempting it.

He tried the brumation thing in September with the not eating. I cranked up the heat by about 2 degrees or so overall (about 5 in the cool end) and he snapped out of it and started eating again. He's more active than I've ever seen him right now and I don't think he's eating cause he has lost weight. He keeps moving his house around all over the tank, moving his water dish, getting dirt in the dish, walking through food, climbing when he never climbed before...he's all over the place. He even stopped pooping when we take him out (yay). I think it's not brumation this time. Oh yes, he even rejected the two foods he never rejects: mushrooms (as a treat) and canned cat food.
