Introducing my Prehensile-tailed skinks

Hi,
I just wanted to introduce my pair of Prehensile-tailed skinks. My female, Flicka appears to be gravid. I noted some mating behavior in May, so I am hoping for a little one between December and February. She has been "gravid" once before, but it ended up to be an unfertilized egg, or a "slug". I have had her for over two years. I got my male, MicroChip, a few months after I got Flicka.
These photos are of very poor quality and are over a year old. I have other photos, by on a different computer. I got these photos from another web site that I post on. By the way, the date code on the photos are inaccurate. The digital camera I took these photos with is a few years behind for some reason, and I have not figured out how to fix it.

This is a poor quality photo of Flicka and MicroChip. Note MircoChip is the one on top.

This is another of the happy couple, but with Flicka on MicroChip's head.

This is a picture of my beautiful Flicka.

This is a picture of Flicka's head.

Enjoy the pictures. I will try to get more pictures, but it might take a while.

Nice pics. Are they pretty handeable? From what I've heard they can sure bite hard.

Mike,
They are handle able, although they can scratch up your arms quite a bit. Some people trim their nails, but I don't. However, I would like to get some of those "Ig Grips" so my arms don't get so scratched up. They can bite VERY hard. It is like having your finger in a vice. If they get a hold of a finger, you might not get it back. Mine, luckily, have never bit me, but I have been bit by Prehensile tailed skinks before. From what I have heard from other keepers, they generally don't bite. Those that do bite are either defending their young or are just plain mean lizards. Thank you all for your kind comments. Josh

Yeah, I've met more than one that can and WILL bite very, very hard. From my understanding, they are a bit more tricky than your average skink to take care of. I like 'em though.
