It's never happened to me that I've noticed, but I'll be on the lookout for it from now on. Liz, are you using Safari? Does it happen when you use Firefox or only Safari?

I may not be able to reproduce this error if it is MAC only, which means I won't be able to correct it. I know what "may" be causing the issue code wise, but without owning a MAC, and using the browser you are, I can't fix it.

it happened today in Safari. I can't remember if its happened in Firefox or not.

Rich, Brett says that you might try installing safari for windows and seeing if it will recreate it that way. He also says that it might be possible to install VM Server and install an OS X image onto that VM server and run it in "emulation" mode and see if you can reproduce the errors that Liz is getting. Other than that, and short of buying a mac, you'd either have to walk into an internet cafe (do they have those anymore near you) or borrow someone's mac. (Liz can send you hers.. ;P)

He also said that if he ever gets enough free time while on campus he can try getting on one of the Mac's there. Or Liz can bring hers to us as well...

Shell, the first thing I attempted to do was install Safari to see if it was the browser. lol I couldn't replicate it with just the browser. (I did see another display issue though that I can work out. lol)
It's very possible that the event handlers for the windows version are strikingly different from that of the MAC for compatibility reasons. I am not 100% certain going through the trouble of installing a separate OS to decipher such a minor bug is worth the trouble. I am speculating that even though the phrase is incorrect, it works as expected? |
