my newt has eaten too much!

I think my newt has over eaten! I hope she is going to be ok! I think she just needs a BM! The thing is I usually give her 6 rosey reds (aka tuffys) to eat over a period of two weeks and there are three left for next week which is about right, but I have been giving her one small wax worm every couple of days and she really likes them. She eats it out of my hand, and she sort of begs for them it is soo cute. BUT... today (she is usually in the water) she is out of the water in the corner and is very fat and not moving too much! It is odd for her because she is always swimming around. Before she got out of the water though, she had half her body up on the water side like breathing (which I never saw before) I am going to do a water change and see what happens. I hate to admit but my little boy who is three was holding her and I didn't see him squeeze her, but that is another thing that I am worried about. Of course, she seemed fine then and after that...it was tonight that she is acting strange!

What type of newt do you have? My fire belly is a good eater and eats a cricket every other day. Hope he is all right.

The pet store called it a godzilla newt here is a pic of her:

She is an eater! I use to have a firebelly and an oregon newt also. I think is is ok now, she has gotten back in the water and is moving around. I think maybe since she hasn't had wax worms before she went alittle over board (including me, yikes) but at least she is acting normal again. thanks!
