Awesome pics I've always liked those, but I've only ever seen one in the stores. Course he wasn't in too great of shape though, and he died in the store.

haha its definitely not easy to find a healthy and also not easy to be able to keep a T shanjing. i remember this was the first herp I started on. and it was a great mistake.

'slimy' drowned as I put him in a relatively aquatic setup!!! it was fine for about a year. till a water change with too much water caught up with him
since then I realised the importance of reading up and know wats best for them but........ haha cant really find them in my country anymore. was relatively lucky to find this 2.

These newts have a particularily cool means of defense. Each one of those knobs contains poison. Not only that, but they also have the ability to poke their ribs through those knobs, piercing it so any animal that bites them gets small puncture wound. The poison enters the wound right there, making it a rather quick way to deliver the toxins into an enemy's bloodstream.

this is so scary, but I make it a point that once I meddle with my tank, its soap and wash time!!!
even when my girlfriend touches any of the plants in their tank I would make her do the same. just to be on the safe side.
