finding amphibians online
Hi, I am looking to find out if there are any web sites that any of you may know of that you can mail order amphibious animals from? I am mainly looking for a salamander. Just one, maybe two. Let me know. I have looked but not had any success.
Thanks

well what kind of salamander? i have some of what I thknk are spotted salamanders hatching as I type, i have found over a hundred egg masses and I have 200 or so larvae on the way, 2 have already hatched, but as for online I seen them somewhere, but I do not remember where, at this time you could probably go out and find your own eggs and hatch them. its a way kool experience, but a little more difficult.

i collect grey tree frog tadpoles every summer, this year I was lucky and found an egg mass, i had over 100 tadpoles. it's cool, i wait till they metamorphasize then let them go. sry that was a little off subject, but I just wanted to say it.

i also collect grey treefrog tads! thats really kool, this is myt second try fro salamanders, last time it didnt go well, this time I am hoping for more success seeings as I know more about them now. you found greey treefrog egg mass? it is early for them yet, i dont think they start doing about for another 2 or 3 months here, and when they do they really go to town.lol. i had no idea until this year how many salamander egg masses were laid in this area, its as abundant as the grey treefrogs. which is alot. bullfrogs do alot here too, far mroe than greenfrogs. see at least now you are nto alone in being off topic...lol

How much? What other species do you have? Caudatans are some of my favorite herps, but I have trouble finding variety and healthy animals.
