Salamander with a Complex

Ok, so I had a tiger Salamander when I was a kid and it was soooo cool, but this new guy is crazy! The new salamander is only 5inches long and really pretty. My husband has named it Greedo (star wars nerd ) we have been hand feeding it, and he will grab a worm and shake it like a dog! He thrashes his tail and does little death rolls! I think he was a nile croc in a past life! lol He is very healthy, and does this no matter how big or small the prey, whether its a cricket, waxworm or night crawler! Its so cute

They move fast too!! I love sallies because they seem so sweet and gentle but WHAM - grab that worm! Shake the soil off and munch. Ours are the wild, outdoor type I can tell you that the first (and last) time that a critter ever made me jump and give a little scream :o was the only time I have ever fed a hungry sallie.

Makes you feel kinda silly to jump like that don't it! One of my Whites Tree Frog got my finger once and when I shrieked i don't know who I scared more, him or me! The only thing that I'm really scared of is spiders, I felt pretty dumb to be surprised buy a little frog!LOL
