New Siren Thread
Figured I'd start a new thread since that other one was getting waaaay long...

So I think it's adapting well, I've seen it eating brine shrimp a few times while I was watching, and they disapear, so I'm sure he's eating a lot more of them when I'm not watching. I fed him frozen blood worms tonight, and I saw him eat some, so I'm glad to report he is eating those as well. I wanted to video tape, but he decided to be shy... I did get a picture where he is kinda poking his head out though, I circled it so you could see....



Also, here is a good length shot of him:



I guess I'm past that part where I'm like, "omg, is it going to die??? Is it eating??" Cause you know, I kinda went through that with my tiger salamander. I'm not so worried now. =)

On another note, I think I want to get a hood for that tank, so I can actually see him. He doesn't like the light anyway, but it's so hard to see him, I figure he'd get used to a light eventualy...

I love the 2nd pic. And I'm sure he's eating more than you know. Have you tried blackworms ? I feed them to my baby turtles, they're cheap, and the way they move makes them easy to spot and sort of entices.

Yep. Is that a good or bad idea? Instead of that, I could get one of those glass versitops and then just get a strip light to put over it.. But it's just so dark in there, and those plants need at least a little light...
