HEY THERE!

Sweet Siren, about time I got to see some pics. When I saw them they didn't have any gills at all so it looks like they are coming back quick. Is the water too dirty for a pic of the whole tank?

Yeah, they came back in about two weeks I guess. That's what threw me off when I was trying to figure out what it was, I didn't see any external gills. Anyway, two more pics =D

Really cool amphibian. Oh yeah, where did you say that bait shop was again, Cody?

Thanks everyone for the welcomes =)

Sweet looking setup, don't be bashful and Introduce yourself to the rest of the community.

Looks like your sword needs some more light, I might have something laying around.

The bait shop is down Pensacola about 4-5 miles outside of town right before lake Talquinn, it's Carey's bait and tackle. If I can find my tackle box I can get a phone number. Pretty much every gas station out there will sell the same bait, they just have it less frequently and not as much. You'll have to try and get a video of that guy eating, for some reason he looks like a clumsy eater.

Oh yeah, that's the other prob, I have no idea if he's eating or not. Blah these nocturnal feeders... I want to see if he'll eat some sort of worms though, like I've been seeing all over the internet. You refering to what looks like a gash on his head? Cause I was wondering about that... I don't see it except for in that photo I took. He seems to be doing ok, so I dunno what's up with that.

How do you always know where things are... Everything that a normal college kid in Tallahassee wouldn't know... Bait shop..

Oh yeah, btw, save me any insects you find, stick 'em in the freezer for me. (Insect Bio class, I gotta make a bug collection...)

Oh yeah, here's the tank. I still need to get a filter, and I'm gonna put some java moss in there, maybe a few more aquatic plants. Sorry about the flash glare, there isn't a whole lot of light in my room..

Yeah, I put that driftwood you gave me to use =P He likes to hide under/around it.

I'm thinking about just taking that terrarium apart and repotting all the plants I can save. I like it, but it's just sittin there not doing anything. Maybe I'll get something aquatic someday that would use the vertical space of a 20 gal high. I was thinking of axies, but I don't think they use the vertical space either. Hrm. I dunno. I really like salamanders though =D If I take apart the terrarium, I could just use the lighting from that for the water plants.

Wasn't talking about the gash, can't see it, I was talking about the sword plant

I say sword and you think about a gash on his head, what did you do

Glad to see the wood getting used, it was sitting around for a while. I would definately recommend getting some lights over the tank, I don't think they like it very bright though. Do you have a pump laying around still? I got some bio-balls and pvc and could make you a filter if you want.
